Although your reason for being here isn’t about me, it’s about you, your family, your occasions, your moments and your memories - here’s a little bit of background on who I am and how we got to meeting here…
I’m Lisa, I currently live on the outskirts of Cheltenham and Gloucester, in the rural village of Corse. I have a sport obsessed partner who’s a self employed golf coach by day (and many evenings) but also the most supportive, encouraging and motivating being in my world. He gives me the confidence to take the leaps I’d run away from and I gave him his newfound love of cats.
Which brings me on to Lily Puss. I am a crazy cat mum and Lily Puss has been a far too pampered princess who loves nothing more than clawing at the curtains, stealing hair bands and having her butt scratched since 2015! They crashed my attempts at getting a new passport photo and one half of this tag team instantly regretted her decision…
Don’t worry dog fans, we have one of those too...Lyra our beautiful black Labrador.
She joined our family in 2021 and our lives haven't been the same since. She's a crazy, stuffed toy destroying ball of love unless you're Lily Puss!
I may have taken a slightly longer, windier, bumpier route before finding what I really love to do but being born into a military family meant I moved around, which in turn, sparked my love of travel, exploring the world and everything it has to offer.
From as early as I can remember I wanted to be a teacher, I even went to university in Nottingham for 1.5 years doing early childhood studies! When that didn’t work out I got a job in a nursery. As much as I enjoyed spending each day with my favourite little people, that wasn’t for me, so I went back to uni, finally graduating in events management. That led me into sports travel which led me into luxury travel and some incredible adventures
...this picture is me watching the sun set over the Sahara Desert in a little place called Erg Chebbi, Morocco.
I've always loved capturing these experiences as photographs but it remained very much an every day mobile phone thing until a spark ignited an impossible to ignore curiosity for photography whilst being a bridesmaid to my amazing friends and seeing their photographer in action. He was so passionate, enthusiastic and had a true love for capturing the best moments of their day, that it inspired me to explore my curiosity further. I bought a camera, signed up to an evening class and that spark quickly grew into a flame that by September 2019 I couldn’t leave as a ‘what if’ any longer. I took the leap right outside of my comfort zone and although it hasn’t, isn’t and won’t be easy, it’s sure as hell going to be worth it!
I’ve played with a variety of types of photography but have found myself falling in love with capturing personalities, emotions and the power of people. The most fun, exciting and rewarding being weddings, family and childhood sessions along with the curve-ball, to many people, that is pole and aerial arts!
With a non intrusive, relaxed and natural style, I love to meet people at their preferred location and whether it be a family shoot, wedding, birthday, religious celebration or specific event, I guarantee to provide images that give you the opportunity to remember your special moments over and over again.
If you're getting married, have children or would just like to take a step outside of your own comfort zone, I’d love for you to get in touch. Let’s chat about you, photography, travelling the world… even cats!
